The Young Visiters is a novel written by the English writer Daisy Ashford, which revolves around the 19th century upper class society of England.
An interesting fact is that, this was written by the author when she was just nine years old. At 36, she pulled out the manuscript which was written by her juvenile handwriting with lots of spelling mistakes and punctuation errors. After ing through many hands, her novel was published without any editing preserving her juvenile style.
Other than her magnum opus of The Young Visiters, the author has credited for four more novels namely Daisy Ashford: Her Book: A Collection of the Remaining Novels, Love and Marriage: Three Stories, Where Love Lies Deepest, and The Hangman's Daughter and Other Stories.
